Cody McCarthy

As an Engagement Manager at GoodCitizen, Cody oversees day-to-day search execution including, research strategy, operations, and candidate development.  

Cody joined GoodCitizen from SPMB Executive Search where he supported CFO, CTO, and General Counsel searches for venture capital backed software and consumer goods companies. He started his career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal working with farmers and mothers’ groups assisting food security initiatives. Cody is excited to combine his customer service, project management acumen, and passion for social good to his portfolio of work.

With his unique background, Cody finds the most fulfillment working with novel and complex organizations. From autonomous vehicles to mycelium-based meat substitutes, Cody’s portfolio is extremely diverse. He leverages his distinct experiences to better serve his clients and garner meaningful connections with candidates. 

Cody has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University.

In his free time, Cody can be found either in the kitchen preparing an elaborate meal or in the mountains going on his next adventure.
